National Friendship Day 2024

Reason to celebrate: August 3, 2024 is National Friendship Day.

Friendship day was initially founded by Hallmark in 1919. It had been supposed to have been each day for individuals to celebrate their friendship by delivering eachother cards, but by 1940 the marketplace had dried out, and finally it become extinct completely. However, in 1998 Winnie the Pooh was named the world’s Ambassador of Friendship in the Un (surprisingly!), as well as in April 2011 the Un formally recognised 30th This summer as Worldwide Friendship Day although most nations celebrate around the first Sunday of August!Based on the Friendship Day declaration, we're asked to “observe this very day within an appropriate manner, in compliance using the culture along with other appropriate conditions or customs of the local, national and regional towns, including through education and awareness-raising activities”.
